The cost of building a timber frame home with Code 4 will depend on the property size and the U-Value - (thermal performance required for the property). Most of our builders chose to project manage their own development and manage subcontractor labour for each stage of the build. We would encourage this route as we believe it is the most cost effective way of building your own home. Code 4 are able to recommend tradesmen and subcontractors to you.

Code 4's standard U-Value specification for timber frame walls is better than that currently required by the building regulations.

Our standard wall U-Value is 0.2 W/(m²K). Our Insulated Twin Wall start from PassivHaus 0.15 W/(m²K) down to PassivHaus Certification 0.1 W/(m²K).

To get a 'ball park' figure at our standard U-Value - multiply the total floor area (ground, first, second floor etc) by £140.00 per sqm. (Includes Labour) for our standard wall, up to £200 for PassivHaus Certification - For a more detailed quote please contact us or send us your plans for a free quote.

Our prices usually vary between £150.00 per sqm to £200.00 per sqm depending on our client requirements and complexity of build.
